It all begins with that first step.

First off, I would like to say thank you for considering me for the honor of joining you in your journey in discovering a bit more about yourself and learning some new and positive ways of addressing whatever may be getting in the way of living your best and most authentic self.

My name is Beth Fawcett, 2005 graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts of North Adams, Massachusetts, and 2012 graduate of the University of New England’s Master’s in Social Work Program here in Portland, Maine.  After graduating, I had the amazing opportunity in working with Spurwink Services in both the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and Home and Community Treatment (HCT) programs as a clinician.  Both services provided in-home intense and comprehensive clinical intervention for parents and youth who were struggling with a host of emotional and behavioral challenges.

It was after making the decision to try something different that I found my true joy and passion in working individually with adults and teens.   I love to help people develop a better understanding of their past, how their past has shaped who they are currently, and helping people reach for the stars in developing their future selves.  I am a firm believer that change is possible and that regardless of what is currently causing distress, there is a way to move forward and a path to living a happier life.  With a firm hand, a bit of humor and a few laughs, I promise to work with you to get you to the place you want to be.

I currently live in Cumberland County with my long-time partner and our four-legged fur-babies.  In addition to my clinical self, I am also passionate about health, wellness, the impact, and importance of a positive-prosocial community, traveling, baking and believe that all things important in the world should start with a cup of coffee.  I am a full-time law enforcement officer for the State of Maine and have held several positions with the State of Maine as well as community mental health which has provided me a comprehensive and working knowledge of complex systems: including both the criminal court system and the Department of Health and Human Services.
